In 2010, a vision was formed in the hearts of Rachel and Phillip Marley to start a trio that was more than just a Gospel singing group. They desired to be used by God as a ministry. This group brings a rich heritage in music along with a sense of humor and joy as they proclaim the good news that Jesus is the Savior of the world, the Savior that this world so desperately needs.

On the music page you will find samples of some of their music. The goal of their ministry is to always lift up the Name of Jesus so that any age group will be able to enjoy and participate in worship... from traditional to southern gospel to praise and worship and mild contemporary... it is all to honor the Lord Jesus Christ. They do not desire to merely be entertainment, but to minister and fellowship with you.

The name "Highway Revival" was inspired by Luke 14:23 which says; "go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in that my house may be filled." This means believers in our Lord Jesus are called to literally take the gospel "on the road"; to travel wherever the Lord leads, praying and seeking a spirit of revival, as individuals and corporately as a church, a church that is in desperate need of revival. We are also called, as God's children, to encourage each other along the journey towards our heavenly home.

Singing Alto with HR is a young lady with an incredible God-given talent to sing and minister in song. Missy Reed is no stranger to Southern Gospel music. Since childhood, she has been on stage with her family, on praise teams and as a soloist sharing her gift. Missy has a genuine, sweet personality and unique voice that connects with her audiences. She also brings an incredible testimony of God's grace and strength through adversity.

Although she is no longer traveling full time with Highway Revival, Nicole Thomas will continue to sing the alto spot and play the piano on select dates. Nicole has an incredible love for Jesus and desire to testify to God’s amazing grace in a humble and powerful way. Nicole traveled with her father, Harry White and Southern Sound a number of years and is a veteran, accomplished drummer. She not only played for her dad's group, but also played the drums in the studio on various recordings and also played for well known southern gospel groups. Before joining Highway Revival, Nicole was a minister of music for ten years and is now currently a minister of music at her home church.

Ron Wilder was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, saved at the age of 12 and began using his talents at his home church, singing and playing the guitar. When he was 13 years old, his brother was killed and this inspired Ron to become a NC State Trooper. At the age of 14 he started playing Rock & Roll music, but his mother "encouraged" him to use his talents to serve God. As he grew older, his voice deepened even to the point of making radio commercials for the Highway Patrol. After retiring from the NCHP, he joined the quartet "The Psalmsmen". They asked him, "can you sing as deep as you talk? Cause, we need a bass." Ron was also a member of the Liberty Boys Quartet and Redirection Quartet. He joined Highway Revival in 2022 and has been an exciting addition to the group.

Phillip Marley has been singing gospel music his whole life. As a young boy, Phillip would sing with his brothers while his dad played the piano.  He learned harmony by listing to his mom and dad sing the old hymns and learning to read music in the band while playing the trumpet. Through the years, he has served as minister of music and choir director in a number of churches. He traveled with The Liberty Boys Quartet for five years as well as other groups. Phillip also serves as the evangelist and emcee for this ministry.

Rachel Marley grew up singing in church and has an extensive musical background. Rachel competed in many choral and vocal competitions and garnered numerous awards and superior ratings, and has been called on to open up for some of the industries leading groups. In fact, many who attend Highway Revival concerts agree that Rachel's vocal ability rivals top southern gospel and contemporary names.

For those who may not know, Rachel is the daughter of professional wrestler, Ivan Koloff, the Russian Bear. Ivan gave his life to Christ in 1995. In February 2017, Ivan went home to be with Jesus. We're thankful for the promise of heaven and we believe that one day we will see him again. You can find his website at www.ivankoloff.com
